Victoria Lavezzari (b. 1992, Buenos Aires, Argentina) is an Argentine-Italian artist and architect based in Madrid, Spain. Fascinated by the challenge of replicating digital hues on canvas, she uses fluorescent acrylics and oils to translate digital color’s saturation and luminosity into paint. Distorted human figures are a recurring theme in her work, through which she explores the tension between dreams and nightmares.

Lavezzari earned a degree in Architecture from Universidad de Palermo in 2016. Before fully dedicating herself to painting, she spent a decade working in 3D design, digital post-production, and graphic design, leading virtual event design projects for clients such as Paramount Pictures, TikTok, and the LA Rams. While working digitally, she became obsessed with translating the physical world into hyperreal, human-centered virtual environments, spaces designed to feel indistinguishable from reality. In contrast, her painting practice reverses that impulse. She brings the artificial qualities of the digital world into the physical realm, using hyper saturated colors, impossible figures, and video game inspired aesthetics to construct a sense of dreamlike unreality, of digital dreams.

Her creative process merges digital and traditional techniques. She photographs or generates subjects using AI, collages, recolors and distorts them digitally, and reinterprets them on canvas.

In addition to her solo practice, Lavezzari is part of Era Vulgaris, a duo focused on exploring art creation through digital tools and AI. Inspired by the art of our time and their daily lives, they aim to reflect the world we live in and dare to imagine the future that may come.
